CITY ON FIRE
A great sea carried me
to the city.
I saw the huge beast,
its red core.
I entered on great light,
on great love.
Fear rose and grew
without growing,
kept rising.
A white-hot sun
inside me. And my soul,
teeming with heat,
waited in peace to watch
itself burn.
The last secrets crackled.
I saw the living flames
and my body floating
in silence, pain.
It sank and dissolved in salt.
A great sea carried me
to the city.
Love.
