BE MY LIMIT
Your body can
fill my life,
as your smile
flies above the opaque wall
of my sadness.
One word of yours breaks
my blind solitude in a thousand pieces.
If you move your inexhaustible mouth
towards mine I drink
endlessly from the fount of my own existence.
But you ignore how much
the closeness of your body
brings me life or how much
its distance takes me from myself,
reduces me to shadow.
You are light and flame,
a burning torch
in the midst of the world.
Never move away.
The deep movements
of your nature are
my only law.
Hold me.
Be my limit.
And I the happy image of myself
that you have given me.
